With over 20 years of experience working in undergraduate admissions and college counseling, Lindsay brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her clients. Having worked “both sides of the desk,” she has unique insights into the world of collegiate admissions and began her career as an Assistant Director of Admissions at Bucknell University, New York University, and Northwestern University. Following her passion of working directly with students, Lindsay served as a College Counselor at Lake Forest Academy, then as Director of College Counseling at Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund where she assisted some of the brightest low-income students in the city of Chicago. Most recently, she has served as the Director of Counseling and Student Support at the British International School of Chicago, South Loop.
Throughout her career, Lindsay has maintained a private consulting business working with families and supporting students through the college process. She has guided hundreds of students ranging from Division I athletes and musicians to students applying to universities around the world. Her students have attended almost every selective enrollment and private high school in the Chicagoland area, including the northern and western suburbs. Beyond Illinois, she has assisted students across the country and several international students. Her experiences are not limited to undergraduate students as Lindsay has also counseled individuals applying to law and veterinary schools.
Nowadays, Lindsay lives in Lakeview with her husband, three rambunctious children, and even crazier dog, Nelson. She is a CorePower Yoga enthusiast, restaurant frequenter, and world traveler. She received her undergraduate degree in Women’s and Gender Studies from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in Higher Education and College Student Personnel from NYU. With a deep commitment to giving back, Lindsay has also been a member of the counselor advisory board at Lehigh University and the Coca-Cola Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.
Anne economakos
With a Master’s Degree in School Counseling, Anne brings a wealth of expertise in both U.S. and international university admissions. She currently serves as Associate Director of College Counseling at one of Chicago’s top private schools and previously held the same role at another leading Chicago independent school. In these positions, she has reviewed thousands of applications and developed a sharp, discerning eye for what makes a student stand out. She has guided students to institutions in 14 different countries and has visited campuses across nearly a dozen, giving her a truly global perspective on higher education.
In addition to her school-based leadership experience, Anne has worked with countless private clients navigating the often complex and ever-evolving U.S. and international college admissions process. She’s known for her thoughtful, strategic, and compassionate approach—helping students stay organized, grounded, and confident, while easing stress for the entire family.
Anne partners closely with both students and parents, offering individualized guidance that is realistic, holistic, and deeply rooted in authenticity. A true student of the profession, she is constantly researching, reading, and staying current with the latest trends in college admissions. Her superpower? An impeccable eye for detail and a deep commitment to getting it right.
As a seasoned college counselor—and a mom who recently navigated the Chicago high school admissions process with her own daughter—Anne also provides families with thoughtful, strategic guidance through selective enrollment, private, parochial, and neighborhood high school options.
A longtime Logan Square resident, Anne enjoys strolling through the neighborhood, supporting local businesses, and spending time with her husband, tween daughter, and two very photogenic (and hypoallergenic) poodles. She’s also a lifelong culture lover—passionate about theater, museums, music, and dance. Her suitcase is always ready for the next adventure, though most days you’ll find her carpooling to tennis practice or catching up on admissions news with a great cup of coffee in hand.
